My grind for flare cutting

I hope you guys get alot of use out of this. One thing I ran into today is that if you mirror an image side by side, you need a left cutting tool if you know what I mean (a graver ground just the opposite). That's if you want the cuts exact opposite.

That's some really clean cutting, Mike. I'll have to experiment with your sharpening technique. Right now I'm finding the nearly-parallel 120° to do an outstanding job on the flare cutting I've been doing. I'll have to try this and see how it works for me. Thanks!

Thanks Sam. It may not be for everyone, I find it helpful. I think I'll like it even more for script letters.
Did you visit any engravers in Italy. If you did do you have any pictures. Stupid question. Anyway maybe you could post some.

No, it wasn't an engraving trip, but we did pass through Brescia on the train. Lots of pics...I'm putting some on Facebook. :)
