Question: inside out coin ring

You need a ring mandrel steel with half size.
A heavy no mark mallet
A way to make a hole in a quarter.
I use a die set from Harbor freight.
That way i have slug from hole punched for scrap not drill ribbons.
Ive made them from half dollars quarters and my wife wears a silver dime ring.

Would a drill press work for making the holes for this style of ring

Absolutely. Try to find center and center punch. be sure you clamp securely. Fred

If you do a 1 or 2 euro ring, no need to make the hole, just punch the brass one out.
