properly shaped/sharpened- it could be used in inside hollowout procedures on turning miniature wood bowls. i use a much larger gizmo for hollowing the inside of bowls on my woodlathe. gotta agree with doc though, i have a few dental tools with handles quite similar. if hu-friedy has an online catalog, you may see one. or patterson dental supply.

It was part of a left handed antique set on gravers....everything was custom and tiny but that thing....its marked Premier Germany...the two ends unscrew and screw back inside the handle.....very well made
