I've been looking everywhere for a book to help me understand the flow, purpose, meaning etc. to scroll design. My goal is to be able to draw my own scrolls for western bright cut designs. Can someone please help me and recommend a book so I can understand the "meaning and feel" of scroll design. I'm getting really frustrated because there are so many books and I cannot decide on which one would be best for me. Please remember I have no experience with designing scrolls. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I checked on your previous postings and found that this is a question that you had previously asked and apparently ignored the answers.
As was stated in those posts, Ron Smith's " Advanced Drawing of Scrolls" teaches you stroke by stroke how to construct a scroll and fill it in.
Don't let the title scare you off.
Or, if it does, get Ron's basic book also available at GRS, but you will find the same and expanded info in the updated version.
As Roger stated, Ron's book is the Bible for engravers.
