Congratulations on the upcoming grandchild. We expect to see pictures (or an engraved illustration).

Being a sucker for punishment...........here is another rotor I cut yesterday for another watch series that will be coming out soon. I should have it in Reno with me.

This one tells the story of creation with the God Tane separating Rangi the Sky Father (Bottom left) and Papa the Earth Mother (Bottom right) with Tane in the middle and top. Both Rangi and Papa are wearing their appropriate moko (tattoo). Men generally had full facial moko while the women mainly had it on the chin area.

Cheers

Andrew, sure I see the difference in design, the first one and the second.
The first one also shows some gold colour, did you inlay it with gold?

Hi Arnaud

The gold colour you see is where the brass is showing through the coating when I scuffed it off with a diamond impregnated piece of photocopy paper. That particular rotor is for the gold inlayed Taniwha watch so it blends in rather well.

The second rotor is for a fully engraved model only with no inlay

Inlaying the rotor with some gold...............now there's an idea :)

I'll have both watches and rotors at Reno with me for "show and tell"

Cheers
Andrew
