I have Colt SAA's and USFA SAA's. USFA makes a better Colt than Colt does. They do them on CNC equipment in the old Colt factory under the blue dome in Hartford, CT. I even had one of their custom made Lightning rifles with Turkish walnut stock for a few years. It was nice but hard to load the .45 Colt rounds. Had to start using a push stick rather than tear up my thumb and thumb nail all the time. It's just the way they were designed way back when.

Nice engraving job on the USFA! :thumbs up:

Thanks for the kudos.
The frame(at least this one) wasn't case hardened.

DakotaDoc, I toured the USFA factory last year with Ray Phillips and Doug Donnelly (President of USFA) and it wasn't at the old Colt factory then. I didn't know they moved.

Hi Brian

Veeeeeery nice work.......Y'know, with a bit more practice, I think you may get good at it. :)

And I got the photos thanks. And still practicing my beer drinking skills for Reno. :)

Cheers
Andrew
