This is a small (2 1/2") plumb bob that I turned on my lathe then engraved. The hex sides are 1/4".
Hurrah for microscopes! Next step is to work on making my turnings cleaner!

Hey Cloudy,

When you say make your machining cleaner what are you looking for. Surface finish or dimensional accuracy or both?

You bob looks pretty good. I do see what looks like some tool marks on the nose end. DO you have any kind of power feed on your lathe?

Ray- yes I have a power feed. Still trying to figure the whole thing out! We need to sit down for a "serious" chat on the subject! You were one of my inspirations for getting the lathe anyway.
