I engraved a charm on a 3/8" chain bracelet and now I have thermo loc all over the chain, tint little bits that don't peel off too easy. Does anyone have an antidote for thermo loc?

I get some relief by heating the piece to soften the stuff and then take another warmed up piece of thermoloc and use it as a sponge to pull the other bits from your work. everything must be heated enough so the stuff is still just tacky. It sticks to itself better than it does to metal and this property can be used to remove the unwanted particles from your work. It's important to find the right temperature range because if the thermoloc is too hot it will then stick to the metal instead of sponging up just the thermoloc.

Depending on how much "hold" you need, and whether the TLock is wrapped around/into the workpiece... you can simply spray it with a mold relaease or "Pam" cooking spray.

Eventually that will lead to deterioration of the TLock, but there's times when it's useful.
