i think this one is the better of the two. imho, it shows more of Winston's own design work. the casting is not very good quality, so i didn't knock myself out trying to take a great photo of it. the casting is actually black/dark blue plastic with the engraving inked in white, so i had a photo-wiz friend flip it from pos to neg. (i'll add a couple close-ups when this &*%#%$& system decides to let me upload another shot in a day or two. ok, added one. maybe tomorrow it will let me add the third. pos...) and finally, the third pic is loaded- TADA!

Thanks for posting this, Mitch. It's interesting to see Churchill's early works, and this one might even be earlier than the one I posted. It certainly has a different feel and flavor, and I don't think I would have recognized it as his work.

one thing that i STILL find amazing is the micro-fine shading lines. that top picture displays at roughly 2x actual size and the shade lines are still almost invisible. the man is just not human...
