Critique Request Spyderco Knives

These are two knives from Spyderco that I recently engraved. I'm getting better, but I'd like some suggestions about some other shapes to use in place of the "whale tails" where the scrolls diverge.

The larger knife was the first time I used the Inkscape program (freeware!) to lay out the backbone and transfer. Definitely a time-saver.

a picture's worth a thousand words. go to the archive, print a few oversize fotos and just study them. as you do, keep a looseleaf journal as you practice drawing them.looks to me you already have a handle on drawing. i believe there's also a tutorial or 2 that gives some insight into the design process. there are many here that would have you make a lot of changes here. i'm not one of them; if a design is pleasing to my eye, i say to heck with all the "rules". i find this pleasing to my eye.
