As we start our day today, let's take a small moment of silence and remember the 19 firefighters who lost their lives yesterday, fighting to keep us safe.
I say us because we all have these same dedicated heros in each of our towns, and it could just as easily have been the Bastrop fire last year, here in Texas where this happened, or in your town.
My prayers go out for their families, wives, and children; and while I don't presume to tell you whom your God should be, I hope that you'll send prayers to a higher power as well, for their wellbeing throughout this tradgedy.
It is a sad day when we lose so many wonderful and selfish protectors of the people.
