Don't use my ball vise lock pin much. But when I do, have trouble finding it.
Also when having a block of wood with shellac or hot glue holding the work in the vise, can't remove or install lock pin without removing block of wood.
This solves both problems. I keep lock pin in hole at all times. Rubber plumbing washer holds pin in position so vise is not locked. When want to lock vise, rotate vise and push down pin until it finds hole. Vise locked. To unlock rotation, hold pin and pinch fingers against steel washer to raise pin enough to clear hole. Locks and unlocks quickly and simply. Never have to look for anything. Don't have to remove anything from vise to install or remove lock pin.
