Fantastic Phil, something to be treasured for life..lucky man.
Super pics & a great study aid, thanks for posting.

I do have a couple of questions since this is silver..did you ink it at all or is that just your photographic skills?
I`m curious as you don`t generally see much bulino in silver & wondered since i generally work with precious metals as to how precious metals fair compared to steel for shadows/contrast.

And another quick jeweler question. Did you make the locket or was it available commercially. I enjoy making lockets and this is an idea I'd never have thought of. Engraving would be about the only reason to have flat interior panels. Thanks for the inspiration! beautiful job and a happy customer I'm sure.

Thanks all.

Chris, I inked this, mainly for the customer to view it easily without having to find the sweet spot, but I see no difference between silver and steel.

Southern Comfort, the locket was made by Bolou Silversmiths, Denmark.

There's no doubt about it Phil, you are the Master!!
Absolutely stunning!!!!
And it makes a nice change on the work bench from guns. Variety is the spice of life. :)
Cheers

Wonderful work, Phil,

I hope, maybe a century or so down the line, it ends up in the Victoria and Albert Museum, or Welsh equivalent. It trumps any locket I have seen in their collection.

Inspiring and thank you!

Beautiful work. Love the detail.

One question, after you are finished with the work, do you coat the silver in anything to help it to not tarnish? If so, what do you use?
