I was reading where Sam said to put a heel on a graver, it sometimes helps us new guys to lay a graver blank on the stone. I did that and liked it, so I took a 1/8" brass rod that I use in making pocket knives, and epoxied it along the length of one of my stones next to the edge. It works well. Thanks Sam. Mack
