Perhaps you already know? There is a succeeding model from stemi 2000 available now. Zeiss named it "Stemi 508". I talked to a staff a few minutes ago to ask about the options for taking pictures and films (the suitable model for this is named "Stemi 508 doc"). He'll send me some informations asap.
He told me, the new model has some improvements - especial in handling. Further it could be possible, the ancillary lenses from stemi 2000 does fit with the new model - he didn't know that by now.
If you plan to get a microscope soon, perhaps this is a possible choice ...
Update: there will be three versions of the new 508 - "Stemi 508", "Stemi 508 doc" and (not out by now, in a few months) "Stemi 508 trino".
