what is different about cronite steel? Is it the hardenable steel they make for banknote engraving? Thanks for any help.

They have what are called "Artists Proof Plates" that come with a super high polished finish and a wax paper between each one. No polishing required and excellent for banknote or bulino. Fine grade of steel with no inclusions.
They also provide heavy plates of high grade steel for print making, sculpture, etching and some types of die making.

you'll find quality also brings with it, a price. but it's worth it if you need the quality.
