here's a brown trout pen I'm working on.

the new square graver and a rounded point liner (I think) are REALLY helping.

It's rough right now, but will be buffed a bit when I'm done before an infill is added.

I also made a scribing tool from the earlier piece of hot dog rod to trace over the drawing. Really glad I did this - pencil doesn't like to stay on plastic too long. :) Now I'm just tracing over my image with the square graver and liner tool for spots and large areas and stuff.

The back ground is going to get some water grass and gravel and stuff.

if your cutting is good from the start, a lot of buffing shouldn't be needed. the more you buff, the more fine detail is going to get rounded off. the work should remain sharp, not rounded off.
