Just a quick post have made some mod's to my scope setup re the lighting thought it maybe food for your little grey cells. purchase some 12Volt light fittings £4.00 x2 ebay and the goose necks are 14" microphome mounts £5.00 x2 ebay just feed the cable through and soldered the wire into the globe holders then glue these into the goose neck and made a mount from a piece of angle welded some socket to take the other end of goose neck then power with a mains to 12v converter £8.00 ebay and ha presto just bend them to position required beats the ring light hands down and for those that wish to know the articulated mount comes from a flat screen deck monitor setup £18 ebay lot cheaper the the acrobat mount the heights worked out fine re eye pieces for me and it's very stable £42.00 about $60 all in.
Still have to wire in one light just had to try it what's your thoughts yes or no
