Neck knife question

Apologies if this has been discussed before - but I was wondering what the consensus is on neck knives?

I normally use either a basic Mora, a BK-7, or (my new favorite) a TBS Boar MK II and most often a multi-tool in my pack.

Given that the Boar or the Mora is great for most crafting-type jobs, is there any real need to have a smaller knife to hand - something like the Mora Eldris for example?

TBH, none of those offer any real canvas for engraving on; the Mora is too hard to bother engraving the blade, the BK-7 is coated and the TBS Boar is a fully hardened blade too. I usually use a carbon steel Mora, but that's not really relevant to an engraving forum.
