Hi all- I'm getting my equipment together, hoping to get started, but have a new issue. I'm using an old Gravermeister which came with the original big long handpiece. I ordered a cheap-o small handpiece to get me started. I rigged up an adapter for the hose, but when I run the machine, the handpiece hammers full time. No foot pedal control at all. I tried adjusting the handpiece, but no matter how I adjust it, it is either on full blast or off, no foot speed control at all. What am I missing? Itching to get started. Thanks for any advice.

my meister has a switchable valve which allowed one to go from large handpiece to the smaller. not sure if that would solve the problem. a call to emporia would likely set you straight on the solution.

By ‘cheap-o’ do you mean a Chinese copycat handpiece? If so, it's doubtful anyone here could help much. I suggest you call GRS to learn what OEM equipment options are available.
