Some of you may remember that I had a MiniMe on the way. Well, she's here now :). Arrived on 3rd of Dec at 4.38 AM.

Mother and baby are allright and both sleeping now.

So, how do you teach engraving to 1 day olds?

Vilts

Congratulation! Your lives will never be the same. :) What is the name of the little one?

CONGRATULATIONS!

To answer your question, I think you should start her with Ron Smith's books on scroll design. Actually you should probably just teach her out of the books - they're a bit heavy for her to hold at this point.

Looks like you're going to get a lot of practice on very small barrettes, bracelets, and other adornments.

Ahhhh......proud father's are always trying to push their child's development. It's too soon. Everyone knows that you wait until they are 2 years old. Then you give them crayons and put washable wallpaper on your walls. They will be drawing scrolls in no time....guaranteed! You have to wait until later to give them sharp pointy objects.

ps.....she is a sweetheart.

Felicitations à l'heureux papa

Hi Vilts,
Nice to see a pretty baby. Congratulations to Mrs Vilt, she made the hard work.

Now you have to choose your baby's name, engrave it on a little gold medal and show it in the forum...:)

Congratulations to you all, I would make her a rattle designed like a burin.
This will give her the right feeling for lifetime.....
All the best for the future.
