Question: metal finish?

hello i have a h&r arms "young america double action" 32 cal pistol in a "silver finish?"
any idea is it nickel or crome ? and how to remove it thankes ,jessie

I would say it's nickel. Brownell's sells a couple of chemical strippers for chrome and nickel. If there is a plating shop in your are, they would be able to remove it as well. The important thing is getting ALL of it off, especially if it's going to be blued later.

As David said, it is probably nickel. Try to get someone to strip it if you can.
