What is the best way to melt diamond setters wax onto a jig. I have tried to use this setup to hold bracelet blanks but I fight to get the wax melted.

Use a spirit lamp. A bottle with a metal screw cap. Drill a hole in the screw cap. Use an old shoelace as a wick. Fill with methylated spirits. Away you go.

or way better- totally reuseable "thermoloc" a fixturing compound available at grs. works well with hand hairdryer, microwave, etc. comes in sticks-- looks very much the same size/shape as hotmelt glue sticks

I agree with the thermoloc but if you already have a supply of the wax... A heat gun will melt it without the problems of an open flame.
Heat gun will also work with thermoloc.

I use thermoloc for some things but to hold a bracelet to cut a rope border the thermoloc don't work well for me. I have melted the setters wax with both flame and heat gun but the
silver blank is not sticking.
