I would like to trade someone my GRS standard ball vise and or other tools for a 10mm sterling engraved wedding band. Size 8.5

What kind of engraving do you want on the ring? I might be interested.

Wow Danny, you are being very generous. I think you should ask for the ring in gold to be fair.

I can make some Ti engraved wedding rings, thing is that silver and gold engraved wedding rings, the engraving won't hold a lifetime. Titanium sure it will.

Chujybear, I have to disagree about gold that will last many lifetimes. If you look at the wedding rings of your grandparents, mostly half of the weight is wear of.
And if there was ever some engraving on the outside, that will be gone as well as the engraving on the inside.
Now over here we use 18 carat gold, yes that is a bit softer than 9 carat gold.

I was going to sell a set of Snap On wrenches at one time and the owner of the FBO came down and told me to never sell tools. So Dannymac4 here goes, if you need a sterling ring, I will make you one for free if you will keep the tools and use them.

I'll concede, Arnaud.
I'm talking about bracelets, which will not suffer the wear of a ring...
Unless, perhaps, they are lost in the surf for seven years (true story).
And I routinely encounter engraved bracelets in the 100 year sort of bracket.
So. Bracelets aren't rings.. For sure
Precautions can be made to give life to a gold ring, for one, with alloy.. But also, for instance, by building rails on the piece.

Course this is all digression from the thread starters goal.
Tho I am happy to see that he has recieved a number of generouse offers. Extremely, I would say.
So. Congratulations.
