Question: leica/b & l sz4 headrest?

i think there are some examples in the tips section of homebrewed rests. if not, i have a few fotos that may help you. jayismonk450@gmail.com.

I'm not looking for information on how others came up with homebrewed rests. I'm more interested in how the sz4 zoom control is accommodated. The commercially available rests now all seem to come straight across where the zoom knob is located and as such would interfere with it. I can fabricate just about anything so simple homebrews aren't of interest.
At the moment, lacking other input, I'm thinking about supporting the rest on each end instead of the middle. Sometimes the wheel has to be reinvented when dealing with older equipment.
