Beautiful design Shawn and I really learn a lot of your drawings, thanks for that.
That's why I want to ask why there is jus one straight line in this design.
All the lines are curved but the line of the upper leaf in the middle is very straight and it seems to me that it eventualy isn't connect to the backbone, or do I see this wrong???

there are a few other bad areas as well...... the two end scrolls dont have enough rotaion
this one goes inthe scrap pile.

Now you mentioned it, I didn't see that, but the middle part and the part where the scroll starts seem very good to me.

Shawn, I like the design, other than the straight line. In vegetation (Like ferns) as they grow, they unfurl at different rates. The very end curlss will be tighter, and the closer to the base, the looser the curl. Generally I too try to make my scrolls even, but that is more of an artistic interpretation rather than a botanical one.
