Here's a few pic's of a Joe Kious knife I've been working on, it's still farrrrr from done but a few of you guys have hinted that you'd like to see some pics of it. This is my first real project and I remeber Andrew Biggs saying I'd sweat bullets over it, well yeah that's an understatement. It's also very gratifying work to see it come together. Any comments or critique is welcome and appreciated.

Awesome work Jeff. Now I see how you managed to cram 200 individual inlays into that knife. I knew it was gonna be this good.

There's nothing like the feeling of finishing as you wipe the last beads of sweat from your brow ......... then suddenly you realize you have to do it all over again on the back.

I think it is very interesting how you chose to go under the border and not break over it.

Jeff, that looks like a lot of work to inlay the background.
Looks real great, how many ours already if I may ask?

Just studying what i thought at first glance was a symmetrical design.
I like it even more now i see a subtle difference.

That is just absolutely superb design and execution. Work like this can send you to the head of the pack, Jeff. This is really fantastic. :beerchug:

You guys are too kind. It really helps to hear encouraging words especially when we sit isolated at our bench and our minds start to play tricks on us and tell us nasty OCD tidbits. One minute I'll be really excited about my work, then the next thing I know all I can see are imperfections...:beat up:

Anybody else have these issues or am I crazy?

Thanks again for looking.
