Hi guys,
I just bought a Kimber Stainless Pro Carry II in hoping to engrave the stainless slider & the lower aluminum frame. My concern is the stainless slider. Anyone has experience with this?

Thank you and appreciate your help.

Aluminum frames are generally not engraved. The stainless slide however could be engraved depending on the hardness of the steel. Some are just too hard and many engravers wont go near stainless. Do a web search on your model and add "engraved" into the search. If you search images, you may find an example of one thats been cut.

I've engraved a Kimber in stainless. Look at my website to see pictures.

If you've never engraved anything, don't make this your first! It's doable but not for a newb.

It engraves well, but it is definitely a candidate for air-assist or hammer. I've done a couple. They were nice, but on the harder end of nice.
