Good evening.
After many years of wanting to begin to learn how to engrave and studying beautiful work on fine English guns I have taken the plunge, and begun my descent into the rabbit hole!!!!! Here are two of my recent efforts.and a play around job. Iam looking forward to gleaning as much info as possible here.
And I would also like to know if anyone here in the uk offers tuition.

Hi Ralf,

I’m flattered! Really Iam but no lies I have only been attempting since October last year. And only really in Ernest since new year.

Thank you,
Iam very keen to practice and progress to a decent standard. All of the above were no transfer, just scribed then cut. As you can see the scroll added around the bouquet is rather wonky…The buckle is transferred design then cut.

The hand engraver’s association GB put on courses a lot, you could try there. Failing that and if you get stuck, contact me
