Just completed 1911

38 Super I just got back from the bluing shop today. The sides of the slide are high gloss & the rest is matt finished. Still looking for grips. Any suggestions on how to make the shading stand out on the silver leafs? Black paint doesn't seem to work. Also very sorry about the sad photos......JohnR

what kind of paint did you use ? that could possibly be the problem. some use just good old rustoleum black.
