Dear Members,

My name is Ruud and 'I'm new' in The Cafe.
I joined The Cafe because.... as a collector I'm very interested in the highly skilled craftsman and their techniques.

I also have a question ; Can anyone tell me who did this beautifull engraving work? The knife is signed Frans van Eldik Amsterdam and the pommel is signed by the engraver
It looks like "DM" "MD".......????
I put 3 ph. for the knife and 1 for the signature. I hope to hear from You
Greetings Ruud (The Netherlands)

Below is a picture of Dany Matagne's signature from a Browning shotgun. Many engravers abbreviate their signature on smaller items like a knife.
