Interesting concept for a bowling ball

Hi all,
I had a friend of mine send me this video clip that I found interesting, so I thought I would share. I know that there has been quite a few bowling ball vice ideas posted here, so if this is a rerun, please forgive.
They are using it as a welding table, but I thought that with a vice it could also make a good cheep-er engraving setup. Maybe for folks trying H&C ? :hammer: :thinking:

Somewhere here on the forum is a thread showing a big commercially made ball work holder like that. I remember it was red.

yeah, doc and it weighed in at around 3 or 4 hundred pounds-- give or take a gram or two. after looking at the vid, this would be a whale of a project for any body wanting a very useful positioning device. if i were to copy this, i'd lower the top ring by an inch or so. this could serve many differing uses.
