That one went with the stirrups..... well I guess the horn cap and stirrups went with the saddle.

Peter,

You are the consumate all rounder!

You run your spread, look after your livestock, skin and prepare your hides, saddle maker, engraver, and a man with a lot of soul.

Great work, and I hope you forgive me for posting my favourite photo of you on your land?

best

Rod

Thank you all, now the word is out I am a smelly guy at times ;)

Rod,
Thanks for the comment and posting the picture, if you want to have decent hide for braiding you got to put them up yourself. I am glad I done that job early when it was still cool by now that would be a smelly adventure.

William,
Next time I wear a hat :)

TyG
I am not making my own trees but I been braiding lot longer then making saddles. That hide would have made some stout tree covers or a belly pan for a tank, that was my old Bull.

golden forge,
You are not alone scrapping hides. Where in CA are you, way back when I was down there and got stared braiding.

jr hoot gibson,
Magpies are out of luck here what the dogs don't get the chickens will...... you can say putting up hides around here is an green production ;)

Monk,
Thank you for commenting.

Peter
