Looks good to me Dave, I'm just wondering if I make some myself, what is best to use for the design if one want to sell it.
I understand thinking a bit commercial can spoil the fun, perhaps not.
So my idea is to put the head of someone one knows quite well and who can afford a Hobo Nickel with his portrait on it.
At least that is the way I would try my first.
Arnaud,
thanks for the comments.
doing a coin with a portrait of someone is my goal but for me it is very hard to replicate the likeness of a person by engraving.
As far as subject matter to do on a coin, i have engraved everything from bugs to ships to people .
you should try a "Hobo Nickel"
They are very fun to do and i have paid for ALL of my engraving equipment by selling my Nickels.
Dave
