Does anyone know a font that is very close to this? I can draw it, but would rather transfer...

not real sure. there's dozens of fonts very closely resembling one another. print this image oversize for comparison, and go fishing in windows font directory or your font navigator. you'll very likely find something just about right. if you just need to duplicate that text, lift a smoke print and use it for a transfer.

Try something like Engravers MT. You will find that most Roman fonts that start with Engravers will have that extreme thick and thin style.

As you can guess, there is a very good reason for that :)

You should be able to get if for free on one of the many font libraries on the internet.

On the photo - handwritten Antique font.
You can spend a week in search of a similar font. Easier to use Adobe Illustrator and draw the inscription on the photos.
In the inscription of the many elements similar to each other A-V or repeated several times .
It will take a minimum of time.
