First paying job

Hi everyone,
Well I've done my first paying job. I made a dog tag for a hunting buddies bird dog, and he liked it so much he bought me a six pack of my choice (Yuengling). He probably got the worst end of the deal and just doesn't know enough to know it . But by the time I drew it 5 or 6 times, did one I didn't like and threw it away, I probably made somewhere on the order of $0.50 an hour. I'm thinking I shouldn't quit my day job just yet.

A while back, my first paying job was $6 for two initials on a friend's knife.

We can't enter the engraving Olympics, for we lost our amateur status, just like Jim Thorpe.

Congrats! we all started somewhere. When I was finally put on full time engraving it was at $2.50 an hour. but that was a long, long time ago.
