Very nice work, and I know the feeling as well accepting a job and being unsure...
This will give you more confidence the next time....at least I hope so ....;)

very good job for the owner of the pendant. the first really valuable item i did-- was done with total confidence-- that is after staring at it for 2 hours as if in a trance. the first job i "ruined", a coffin handled dagger with ivory scales. i had placed the knife on the table. spilled coffee leaked under the one scale, drastically changing the color.in a dang near mental breakdown, i called the knifemaker and told him of the tragedy. he said, " hey, don't worry about it. soak the other side till the colors matched" ! ended up he was pleased.

yes, willem. i was ever so relieved when this guy actually liked the result. using hindsight, the staining wasn't all that bad i suppose. the scales did have one really antique look about them. fit the theme of the dagger & engraving rather nicely. i wish back then i had photo skills beyond the lowly polaroid. lol
