Ever see one of these things

I was digging around in a box of watch lathe parts and found this gadget today so I cleaned it up a bit.

It's evidently to hold maybe watch case backs or something and was in with some other more typical attachments like you normally find with an old Victor ball vise.

The brass legs of course move along those slots to adjust to things and the top tack looking things unscrew also to make a gap for closing on the edge of an item I guess.

Never seen one before and frankly I've had this for years and didn't know it. The name on it says A. Muelhmatt maker Cincinnati...:shock:

Tim,The maker of the Victor vice A.Muelhmatt must have a patent on that attachment,try looking into there many patents.J.J.
