While cleaning up a few things i stumbled across this pic from a while ago.
the knife is about the size of a credit card.

i was playing with trying to make the leaf curlover look more rounded.

Very cool! Do you find it difficult to engrave moving from one metal to the other. Talk about hard and soft spot challenges. Talk about running into pockets. Never done any. I think I might but a small billet and give it a whorl. You certainly over came the issues . I have seen several other engravers who use the material and have often wondered if they just snicker when they here me and others complain about cast, pockets, hard and soft spots, galling and the like. i dont remember it being a significant issue on this piece, but can see where it cold be a very frustrating issue. id guess that not cutting so deep of too fast and you might not notice the change in metals so much.

i have had issues with cast parts on some knives, but this stuff is forged. i once got a high contrast billet with pure nickel layers, and that one was noticably harder.
