I was again frustrated while drawing on a piece set in my block, and made this gizmo to brace my wrist. GRS had included two bars of ThermoLoc in something I bought, and I had an extra hex key.

Great Idea.

Some time ago I had the same problem and came up with a hand rest that I still make for people. They are real easy to make, and can be made from wood or what ever materials are available to you. It is adjustable in height also. Anyone wanting information on how to make these, just let me know and I will be glad to help. The base has a semi circle cut out, in order to slide around the base of the vise. By doing this it makes the top semi circle closer to the vise. The hand rest is also adjustable as far as tilt angle.

There is a video on you tube,of master beretta engraver using a piece of thin wood that he puts one end near the work, and supports other end with his left hand.He uses this to rest his drawing hand on.I believe his name is Lucca Cassari? mike
