Not a clue, but nicely done. The scrollwork on the armrest is sort of unique. What I can see on the flange and hoop is pretty generic. Photos aren't the best either.

Michael Hofer is a well known Banjo author/instructor. Problem is he's not old enough unless the banjo is a newer version if an old style.

the name jason dumars comes to mind. the engraving in the larger foto sort of resembles the beautiful engravings he did on saxophones & trumpets. he posted on the forum quite some time ago. you can probably find him using the search bar on google
try "jason dumars saxophone engraving". there was a time that he had a couple demos on youtube, showing how he did some of his work.

here is a foto of a saxophone done by mr.dumars. i beecame curious, and looked thru my truckload of fotos. not sure if he did anything other than saxophones & trumpets. with his passion for the art, he very likely may have done other instruments as well.
