not too shabby, sam. i mean for just whittling. you should enter your practice pieces into a museum. hey, why not ? the quality is there. maybe some sort of museum of fine ornamental engraving. just a thought.

Maybe you can tell us something about that one tiny scroll you added on top there in the upper left of the first photo. I don't recall you doing that before.

I've done similar things before, Doc. Just something different. Quite often these show demo pieces take several hours to cut as I'm talking to people and demonstrating other things as well, so I bounce back and forth between engravings. And sometimes I'm just bored and feel like adding a leaf in an unlikely place :cool:

The scrolls, the cutting, its beautiful. I like it.

I hope the show in the land of the rising sun was good as well.

Sam these are Fantastic! Please next time that you will bored make a casting too of one of your plate, more than one will be very happy to have one to study!
