Question: Damascus rings

Anyone use Damascus in there ring making? I went to a local gun show and found some local people that make Damascus knives and rings. I bought one of the rings for $40. But I think they norm cost $50 . There in the rough and need cleaning a bit . But if this is s good price and if anyone wants there info I will post it.

Not sure of type metal. I'm waiting on reply from them on what metals were used to make it.. will post as soon as I know

Update... The ring is made of 1095 high carbon steel and 15-n-20 nickle. So prob not the best material for a ring.
