Bruce Gleason carves his first Hobo Nickel
Bruce Gleason has finally jumped into the hobo nickel carving arena with a face he first started drawing in the 1970's while still a teenager. Named "the doctor" for some unknown reason, this figure has graced the walls of many bathrooms Bruce was installing cabinets in in central Florida. Fortunately for the owners of these other masterpieces, they are hidden from view by the vainity cabinets installed in front of them! The nickel's eyeglasses have been gold plated, and the background and mustache have been inked. This nickel was a hoot to do, and won't be the last. Possibly the start of a series! Oh, and sorry about the picture quality, it was the best I could get after three hours of trying!
