Brian et al media plate

My diamond media plate has unbonded from the aluminum platen. I tried melting it with a heat gun, but it remains unfazed. The glue is hard and brittle. Any solutions from those who have experienced this?

I would suggest cleaning the old glue off and reglueing it back on with a spry adhesive on both sides and lining it up on a 1/2" piece of rod.

I think Silver chip has the right idea, and maybe using some clamps to hold the two together and let it dry 24 hr

Put it in yer oven. (providing you don't have a S/O that'll forbid it - or do you some bodily harm if you get caught)

Might smell funny, but eventually it WILL come off. Try 300 degrees. Don't put your dinner in there at the same time.

Then you can scrape or whatever is necessary... ashes are soft.

I'm pretty sure you must know a dozen ways to glue it back on?
