The low dome from Rio and Stuller is much better than from IJS. The edges are thicker and are ready to go. The low dome from IJS is sharp on the sides. It is cheaper, but you loose material when you remove the sharp edge (not to mention that it makes the bracelet narrower, too).

If you are making wider bracelets, and giving them a hollow dome, add a bit to the length. A higher dome shortens them up.

I sometimes use the low dome from JSC and sweat solder to another piece to form contrasting color or step edge and have even solder two low dooms together to get the round inside. Engraved both before soldering. Fred
