Black leaf is the name of the style . The style originating with the German engravers refferal to the black forest in Germany.

Your blackleaf is beautifully conceived and executed but it is hidden in a jungle of foliage. Sometimes less is more.

Blackleaf ...? why is it called that? I assume the term relates to a prominent leave in an engraving.

By reading Rogers comment, yous is a bit lost among the other foliage, doesn't stand out enough....
