Thank you Marcus for your timing. I'm sure it was quite intentional as your package arrived on my birthday today.
My wife handed me a tiny little casting as I awoke and my still blurry eyes had trouble comprehending what I was seeing.
We get used to seeing engraving blown up on the screen here and often times take it for granted. This is the first time I've ever seen good English in person and this stuff is truly "fine scroll".
I can truly appreciate the value of good castings now that I have one in hand. I'd have never cut something this small had I not seen it with my own eyes. I'll do my best to do the style justice and I promise not to let anything out of the shop until you or another "proper English" engraver has given the thumbs up.
Now off to a cup of tea and more study!
