When you get around to making yourself a bench make sure that the bench peg is about the height of your shoulder when seated - that will help eliminate a lot hunching over when sawing and filing. I'm finally getting around to increasing the height of my bench by about 4 inches that I made when I was an apprentice - must have been sitting on a lower seat way back then.

I see Jeff has taught you well, you are coming along very quickly and you will be able to do more of your work with a graver than the rotary tool. Try using a sand or shot bag set at the height somewhere around the middle of your chest / belly. This will allow you to sit more upright and keep your arms in position that is more comfortable for cutting and still able to see your work. Come up to sunny Queensland some time for a visit. Ty
