Another Dumb Mistake

A little while back someone shared a cut and a caution. I thought I would share my recent costly booboo. When reaching for the lens polishing spray bottle check to make sure it is not the diamond spray-check twice! well off to get the scratches taken out of my new bifocals. Glade it was not my scope- Fred

I thought I was the only stupid guy in the world to do that! My eye doctor said it wasn't really anything serious being that they routinely use cyanoacrylate adhesives for corneal surgeries. But, it felt pretty bad at the time. Needless to say, eyedrops and Loctite don't get stored next to each other anymore.

After several Super Glue incidents over the years, I now keep a bottle of Super Solvent in the shop.

omg ! that's scary stuff. i've used the stuff twice to "suture" rather deep lacerations to my fingers. burns like hell, but worked

Monk, Yes, it works. And it doesn't hurt after it is used. But IT HURTS more than you can imagine in the mean time.
